Last night was a crazy game and it was a good & bad night for my picks. The bad was the pick on the actual game. Houston covered the +9, but their hole of allowing 24 points in the first quarter ultimately doomed our under 52½. Texans outscored IND 28-9 from the second quarter on, which we might want to remember for upcoming Texans games.
On the other hand we nailed the Hot Starters & Bench Warmers for the night! Andre had his best night of the season as predicted, and had 99 yards and a TD. However he did fumble, so he didn’t get to the 18 predicted but certainly made owners happy. Elsewhere I benched DeAndre Hopkins, which was a good thing because he fell even below my prediction of 5 points, scoring just 1 point on 12 yards; by far his worst game of the season. Reggie Wayne was also on the Bench Warmers list, and he only produced 3 points. Let’s hope this success continues!
Now let’s dive into this weekend’s games! Also, at the end, I know a lot of people play these Daily Fantasy games. I am partial to Draft Kings, so from now on, I will include a Rock Solid DK Lineup so we can cash in everywhere! (Which will not include the Thursday Night Game.)
YTD Record: 11-16-2..
Indianapolis (-3) @ Houston O/U 46.5
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Houston +9 Under 52.5
Sunday 1:00 p.m.:
Baltimore (-3.5) @ Tampa Bay O/U 43.5
Baltimore has covered the spread in 3 out of 4 games, but I try to not give road points. In the last 3 weeks, these two teams have gone OVER 5/6 times. I’m teasing!
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Baltimore +2.5 Over 37.5
Denver (-8.5) @ New York Jets O/U 47.5
Another road favorite, but Manning against this secondary is just too hard too pass up. Both teams have only covered the spread once this season. Denver makes it back to back weeks this week!
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Denver -8.5
Detroit (-1.5) @ Minnesota O/U 45
Detroit is 1-1 ATS as the road team, likewise for Minnesota at home. Of their games so far this season, 7/10 have gone under. I am staying away from the road favorite with Calvin injured.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Under 45
New England (-2.5) @ Buffalo O/U 45
Another road favorite here. The only stat I need to know is the Pats are 25-2 in their last 27 H2H against Buffalo.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: New England -2.5
Carolina @ Cincinnati (-6.5) O/U 43.5
You know I can’t stand Andy Dalton, but Cincy has won 8 in a row ATS at home. Carolina once solid defense has given up 24, 38, and 37 in the last 3 weeks. Give the points even with AJ Green out.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Cincinnati -6.5
Pittsburgh @ Cleveland (-1.5) O/U 47.5
These teams have been so hard to pick all season. Pitt plays to their competition, and CLE only plays one half of good football. CLE is 4-0 ATS this season and every game has gone OVER. Since this is the largest they have been favored, I am teasing!
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Cleveland +4.5 Over 41.5
Green Bay (-3) @ Miami O/U 48.5
The Packers come in as one of the hottest teams in the league. Miami had a BYE and Coach Philbin is a recent former Packer. I am shocked it is only -3, but they must be giving the extra week of prep a lot of consideration. I’m going GB -3, but another note is only 2 of the 9 games these teams have played have gone UNDER.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Green Bay -3
Jacksonville @ Tennessee (-6)
We’re at Friday, and the game has no O/U yet. I probably won’t watch a single play of this game. JAC is 0-3 on the road ATS but TEN is 0-2 ATS at home. What breaks? I’m going with the home team that can at least score some points.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Tennessee -6
Sunday 4:25 p.m.:
San Diego (-7.5) @ Oakland O/U 43
The Chargers have covered 9/10 regular season games ATS. This includes 4 road games, and 3 games in which they were -7.5 or better. On the other side, Oakland is 0-9 in their last 9 H2H and have lost by 7 points or more in 6 of those 9.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: San Deigo -7.5
Dallas @ Seattle (-8) O/U 46.5
This one is isn’t as tough as it might initially seem. Dallas hasn’t beat a team currently over .500 all season. Seattle has beaten DEN, GB, and SF in their last 3 games at home and covered the spread in each.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Seattle -8
Washington @ Arizona (-3.5)
Clearly Vegas isn’t confident about this one because there isn’t an O/U anywhere yet. Since I do this on Friday I do not have the luxury of waiting and seeing what the O/U is. Vegas isn’t sure if Palmer is playing, but I feel like he either won’t suit up, or will not be 100% if he does.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Washington +3.5
Chicago @ Atlanta (-3) O/U 54
This is the game I am the most excited to watch Sunday. ATL is 2-0 ATS spread at home this season, but CHI is 2-1 ATS on the road. OVER has hit 7/10 times for these teams this season, including every time ATL is at home and CHI is away which explains the inflated O/U. These teams don’t have a problem scoring, but I love Ryan at home enough to not pad my points.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Atlanta -3
Sunday Night Football:
New York Giants @ Philadelphia (-2.5) O/U 50
Tough pick here. I do not trust Philly yet and NYG are playing in a tough environment. One thing I do know is that these teams give up points. New York on the road has gone OVER each time this season, and Philly has gone OVER 4/5 times including all 3 at home. 50 is a lot, but nothing unusual for a Philly game.
Kyle's Money Makin' Pick: Over 50
Monday Night Football: Community Pick! YTD: 1-0-0
San Francisco (-3.5) @ St. Louis O/U 43.5
Can we continue the undefeated run!? STL is 0-2 ATS at home, while SF is 1-1 ATS on the road. SF won 35-11 last year @STL, but lost 16-13 @STL In 2012. SF games have gone OVER 4/5 this season, while STL has split over/under in their 4 games.
Rock Solid Draft Kings Lineup for Week 6
QB- Matt Ryan $8,600
RB- LeSean McCoy $6,000
RB- Ben Tate $5,500
WR- Alshon Jeffery $6,500
WR- Emmanuel Sanders $6,900
WR- Roddy White $4,800
TE- Jordan Reed $3,200
FLEX- Mohamed Sanu $5,300
DST- Seahawks $3,100
Just a quick little hint that I use, since it is PPR Scoring and you can only spend $50,000 I always try to fill my FLEX with a WR.
Paid a lot for a QB but it has to be between him or Cutler for the match up. Ride or bye with McCoy this week but Tate should be able to secure 10 at least. I put a majority of our money into WRs. All of the WRs and our FLEX catch 5 or more passes almost every game. Big play potential too. Reed, IF HE PLAYS, is an amazing value (watch sunday for confirmation.) Also, Seattle at home and not much $$ is a bargain. Good Luck!
I will be on here Sunday and our new Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/KylesSportsBlog for conversation!
