WEEK 13 POWER RANKINGS!
1. Carolina Panthers (11-0) (2)
The Panthers have 3 teams under .500 and two games against the recently awful Falcons left on their schedule… 16-0?
2. New England Patriots (10-1) (1)
Said it last week these injuries are going to haunt them, now they lose one of the two guys they couldn’t afford to lose.
3. Arizona Cardinals (9-2) (3)
Not an impressive win, but they got the win nonetheless. Their run game was broken with CJ1K and Ellington getting hurt, but they are very deep.
4. Cincinnati Bengals (9-2) (4)
Nice blowout win after two straight losses. They are now just 1 game back of the #1 seed in the AFC.
5. Denver Broncos (9-2) (6)
Knocking off the Pats is a very impressive win. They now own the tiebreaker if they can catch New England.
6. Seattle Seahawks (6-5) (8)
In a shootout, they survived to hold off the Steelers. They are now in the 6 seed in the NFC, and it doesn’t look like there will be much competition to knock them out.
7. Kansas City Chiefs (6-5) (9)
This team just keeps on rollin! After 5 straight losses, they now have won 5 in a row and it looks like you can plug anyone in at RB and they will get 100 yards. Their schedule is cake the rest of the way too.
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) (7)
Even though they are 6-5, I feel they are very close to being a top 2-3 team in the AFC. That being said they have IND, @CIN, and DEN for their next 3 games. They sit in the 8th spot currently and if they lose 2 or 3 of those games this season could slip past them.
9. Indianapolis Colts (6-5) (11)
They just keep winning with Matt at qb. Much tougher test this week on SNF against Pittsburgh.
10. Minnesota Vikings (8-3) (12)
They now lead the NFC North again and they have AP running like a mad man. They host the Seahawks, which is one of many premier games this weekend.
11. Green Bay Packers (7-4) (5)
As a fan I cannot believe they lost on Turkey Day. That’s it, that’s all.
12. New York Jets (6-5) (17)
They are in the Wild Card race, but the schedule isn’t kind. They go to the Giants this week which should be a solid game.
13. Houston Texans (6-5) (18)
This defense has held 3 of the last 4 teams without a TD during their current 4 game winning streak. They are now in the 6th spot in the wild card, but don’t get too excited they have @BUF, NE, and @IND for their next 3.
14. New York Giants (5-6) (10)
Completely laid an egg in the first half against the Redskins this week. They now trail the Redskins and really need this game at home against the Jets.
15. Chicago Bears (5-6) (19)
They ruined the ending of my Turkey Day, but that being said they are a pretty good team and much better than everyone thought in the preseason. They aren’t likely to make a playoff push, but they could go 9-7 with this schedule.
16. Washington Redskins (5-6) (22)
Your NFC East leaders! They are 5-1 at home, but get killed on the road. Luckily for them, they get Romo-less Cowboys at home this week.
17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) (15)
I watched the entire game on Sunday in Indy, and I was impressed by how comfortable Winston looked. They aren’t going to threaten this year, but the future is bright. BTW, why does Mike Evans drop so many passes?
18. Buffalo Bills (5-6) (14)
Who would have thought Chiefs/Bills would be the fantasy shootout of the 1 o’clock games!? The Bills are in bad shape for the AFC Wildcard but they have a chance in each of their remaining games as every team has 6 or less wins.
19. Oakland Raiders (5-6) (20)
They aren’t dead yet! After three straight losses they picked up a must win in Tennessee. They now get the Chiefs at home and they REALLY need this one.
20. Detroit Lions (4-7) (26)
I’m not sure what changed besides the staff, but this defense is playing great and their offense isn’t awful. Just a little too late.
21. Atlanta Falcons (6-5) (16)
I wanted to put this team in the high 20’s but honestly from 20 down it’s just a shit-show. They are still in the playoff hunt, but this team has not played really well since Week 4.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) (25)
It was fun for a week when they were just one game back in the division, but a loss at home against SD reminded us they are the Jags.
23. Baltimore Ravens (4-7) (28)
Ravens got a miracle victory at the end of the game, but there isn’t a team in the league that deserved a win like that more than this squad.
24. Dallas Cowboys (3-8) (13)
Well they got their fans hopes up for one week and then completely crush them again. At least we can stop talking about this team now.
25. St. Louis Rams (4-7) (21)
Jeff Fisher doesn’t get enough slack for how below average he is at coaching.
26. San Diego Chargers (3-8) (30)
Rivers propelled them to a victory in Jacksonville.. Not too much more I can say.
27. New Orleans Saints (4-7) (23)
I don’t know if I have seen a worse defense. How can there be so many people in the NFL that can’t tackle?
28. Miami Dolphins (4-7) (27)
They are bad, and they aren’t fun to watch one bit. Rough combo.
29. Philadelphia Eagles (4-7) (24)
On second thought, this Eagles defense is trying to take the crown for worst defense from the Saints.
30. San Francisco 49ers (3-8) (30)
Gabbert isn’t the worst starting QB in the league. That’s not something I would have guessed.
31. Tennessee Titans (2-9) (31)
I always forget they played a game each week. They never play a game worth watching, and they always lose in a very unfashionable way.
32. Cleveland Browns (2-9) (32)
Give it up for the Browns! They found a new way to lose a football game!
